This invite-only two-day meeting brings together a global network of university leaders, institutional change agents and educational experts with a shared mission to improve the recognition and reward of university teaching. This will be the first face-to-face meeting of the Advancing Teaching community since universities across the world pivoted to ‘emergency teaching’ in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The meeting runs from 12:15 on Thursday 30th June until 12:30 on Friday 1st July. As most participants will be travelling to the Netherlands for the meeting, the agenda allows for travelling time on the Thursday morning and Friday afternoon. On Thursday 30th June, registration opens at 12:15 (Dutch time) while a lunch is served, with the meeting starting at 13:00. There is an optional pre-meeting session exploring the Career Framework for Univeristy Teaching at 11:45 – please come along if you are interested to learn more about the Framework. On Friday 1st July, the meeting will run from 9:00 until 12:30, followed by a lunch for participants. After lunch, at 13:30, there is an optional afternoon session that will explore the work currently underway in the Netherlands to establish a new national framework of recognition and reward that is common to all Dutch research universities. Further information about the meeting agenda is given in the link below.
